CORK City have hit the ground running under new manager John Caulfield, and for Mark McNulty — who works closely with goalkeeper coach Phil Harrington — the backroom has been critical to this.
In addition to the coaching staff, Caulfield recruited Eoin Fehilly, gym owner at Fehily’s Fitness and soccer manager himself with Killumney United in the AUL, for his strength and conditioning expertise.
“Eoin Fehily was in for pre-season. It was tough, very, very tough. He gave us all our own diet plans and gym programmes. Only last week I got new ones e-mailed to me. He works it all around my family, the time my kids go to bed, he has it down to a tee.”

“Without a shadow of a doubt we’re fitter than we’ve ever been. That’s down to Caulfield, John Cotter and Billy Woods too.”

Eoin is our fitness trainer at the club. Eoin came highly recommended to me, his attention to detail and training is superb. At our level players have to be very fit and thanks to eoin they are. The training is very intense and enjoyable, alot of our lads go visit him for one to one sessions as they love working with him. Eoin is a major part of our success and i can’t thank him enough, i look forward to continue working with him in the future.
